HB COMMUNICATIONS TRADING, INC. (HBComm) was incorporated under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines in June 1994. HBComm is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commissions under Registry No. ASO94-005224 and with the Bureau of Domestic Trade with Permit No. 0196070.
The company was organized by a group of experienced managers / engineers / entrepreneurs whose background and business orientation are towards customer satisfaction. Thus, the organizers drive the company's main business on "delivering the best service, products, and technologies available to satisfy the varied needs of its clients / customers". Business focus is in Telecommunications, Ancillary Support Facilities, IT Platform, Security Monitoring and Surveillance, etc.
In 1994, Power Conversion Products Inc. (PCP), manufacturer of high quality switch mode rectifiers and DC power plants based in Crystal Lake Illinois USA appointed the company as the exclusive agent for their complete line of DC Power Systems. Because of the sales volume HBComm generated for PCP products in less than a year, PCP held its Annual Asian Sales Meeting in Cebu City in October 1995 and HBComm as the host agent.
In the same year, Northern Technologies Inc. (NTI) of Liberty Lake, Washington USA, appointed HBComm as exclusive agent for their Transient Voltage Surge Protection (TVSS) and Power Line Conditioner products. Also, Valmont Industries Inc., the largest steel finished product manufacturer in the USA, authorized HBComm to represent their products for the telecommunication industry.
In 1995, Cell Site Corporation of Florida USA supplier / manufacturer of communication shelters granted the company the exclusive authority to represent their products in the Philippines Asia. Likewise, HBComm was authorized by Interlink Power-Plus of Singapore to represent "POWER" & "UNIGY" industrial batteries.
To maintain its steady growth, and to satisfy the varied needs of its valued clients, the company is continuously enhancing its services and product lines by technically beefing up its service group and by soliciting representation of high quality non-competing but complementary product lines respectively.
Our company acquired all the assets of INTRADE Asia Pacific Corporation Telecommunications Division including its service facility and personnel on 01 February 1999. INTRADE caused the transfer of agency representation of the following Principals/Suppliers to HB Communications Trading, Inc.:
- Harris Corporation RF Communications Division
- Harris Corporation Digital Telephone Systems Division
- Alcatel USA Marketing, Inc.
- Technical Communications Corporation
- Walkins Johnson
- CompanyShakespeare Electronics & Fiberglass Division
Since then HBComm became the regular supplier of Harris Tactical radio equipment/systems and Alcatel Microwave Radio and PABX equipment/systems to the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
In 2005, the company purchased a piece of land at the AFPOVAI Village in Taguig City and constructed its own building to accommodate a bigger repair service facilities manned by well-trained technical staff.
